chuthis. movement intensive

August 6-11, 2018
Las Vegas, Nevada—Bunker Dance Center

We are thrilled to be once again holding chuthis. Movement Intensive this summer! Our faculty for this edition will be Artistic Director Peter Chu, along with company members Jenni Berthelot, Krystal Matsuyama, & Jillian Meyers.

Audition Submission [CLOSED]

----------

Group A
Tuition - $850
(Does not include accommodations, transportation, or food.)

This group will have classes in Ballet, chuthis. Ideas, Qi-gong, chuthis. Repertoire, Body Maintenance, and Grooves.

----------

Group B
Tuition - $500 **

(Does not include accommodations, transportation, or food.)

Our goal with this group is to provide an intimate experience, during which they will integrate fully with chuthis. company members. These dancers will partake in a typical chuthis. week, where they will join in a creative choreographic process with Peter and receive a taste of how we work as a company.

**We are providing a discounted tuition rate for Group B, as it is geared toward a more mature dancer – one who is joining or currently in the professional dance industry – where funds and resources are often limited.

----------

BOTH groups will participate in daily talkbacks, a few fun extracurricular activities, and an in-studio showing on August 11th.

About chuthis. Movement Intensive

chuthis. Artistic Director and Choreographer, Peter Chu, directs a week-long movement intensive focused on personal movement research and development. This training program is a vessel for creativity through the exploration of the creative process. A nurturing environment enables students to build a broader awareness of technical and artistic complexities implicit in movement.

Our CTMI faculty work closely with dancers, ensuring they receive the individual attention necessary to find and hone these sensibilities. Classes include: ballet, modern, body maintenance, Qigong, chuthis. ideas* and chuthis. repertoire, along with health and wellness advice from professional dancers. This curriculum coupled with structured mentorship further prepares pre-professionals and professionals for growth and success in the world of dance.

The movement intensive is suitable for ages 14 and up.

*chuthis. ideas:
— Acquired experiences are fused with personal discoveries and research, all the while placing emphasis on free form movement, composition of space, partnering exchanges and body/mind familiarity.
