Linda Chow (costume)
Linda Chow graduated from the Ryerson theatre program in 1982. As a cutter and seamstress she has worked in theatre, dance, opera, and film. Through dance she has incorporated design into her work. In 2003 she collaborated with Crystal Pite on Uncollected Work. This led to Lost Action, Fault, Decembering, A Portrait of You Falling, Dark Matters, and The You Show’ for Crystal’s company Kidd Pivot. Other collaborations with Crystal include Arietta and 24 Short Worksfor Ballet BC and Emergence for The National Ballet of Canada. With Ballet BC, she worked with Jose Navas on The bliss that from their limbs all movement takes, Annunciations, A Thousand Ways To Meet You Tenderly and Giselle. Other choreographers she has designed for at Ballet BC are Shawn Hounsell, Medhi Walerski, Gioconda Barbuto, Serge Bennathan, Simone Orlando, Aszure Barton, and Emily Molnar. In 2012 she redesigned Nothing Sticks for chuthis. She is currently redesigning Crystal Pite’s 10 Duets on a Theme of Rescue for Carte Blanche and a new creation with Aszure Barton for the Bavarian State Ballet.
